Work from the portfolio of AllieMarie Design! Happy, thoughtful, inspired design for small business owners with big hearts. Work includes visual branding…
I truly feel so honored when my clients invite me into their world and trust me with the design of their visual identity. We created beautiful things together this year! Can't wait to see some of these businesses officially launch in 2022 and for ALL of them to continue to grow, flourish, and thrive. Thank you to all my clients - current, past, and future! I adore you and I'm cheering you on, always ❤️
Amana provides accounting, tax, and financial services to hardworking minorities and small business owners nationwide. Sadiq (owner + founder), is committed to crafting customized financial solutions that allow his clients to keep more of their hard earned money. He’s also passionate about educating and helping them understand their financial situation from a holistic point of view, in hopes of being a catalyst for making better financial decisions that support their long-term goals.
As they prepared to branch out on their own and launch their new therapy clinic, co-owners Joanna and Anne were ready to put their best foot forward from the get-go with a timeless and refined brand identity with touches of playfulness that create a conversational and "come as you are" tone, while also remaining grounded, polished, and empowering. The logo lettering has a beautiful presence, with its soft and subtly feminine details adding a welcoming feel.
We focused on a blend of classic + modern, clean + comfortable, calm + confident with a bit of playfulness thrown in. We honored KDL’s geographical location with an outdoorsy PNW vibe and a handcrafted, vintage flair that speaks to their longevity as a family-owned company.
I love how this vision shines throughout the visual identity! The Belightfull brand is colorful, honest, and oozing with positivity. The lettering style and color palette give the brand a boutique yet welcoming and optimistic feel. The curved tagline speaks to creativity and the storytelling aspect of her work.
For the branding, I just love how it uniquely blends the ideas of organic growth with intentional experimentation. It feels like the perfect representation of their vision: a place where you can feel free to experiment and grow while still feeling supported along the way.
Our goal was to create a refined visual brand with a boutique feel that helps BPR stand apart in their crowded industry. It wasn’t just about their logo (it never is, of course!)… it was about developing a cohesive visual experience that would be memorable across all platforms and throughout every point in the client journey.
We set out to create a high-end visual identity that had an artistic-with-an-editorial-feel and reflects Kim’s approach, experience, the quality of her work. From the beginning, we wanted the brand to have a lovely blend of professional, elegant, and creative, and look like it’s right out of a magazine. I love how that vision came to life!
As we dove into the branding process, we were after a polished boutique look that was minimal yet inviting with a touch of luxury. From the time someone first lands on her website to when they arrive at their destination, Kylie (the heart behind Skinny Dip) wants her clients to have a consistent + engaging experience that makes them feel like a total VIP.
I collaborated with the Tactful Human founder Stephanie to create a strong yet disarming brand for this important new endeavor that our city and the world so desperately needs. Our goal was for her brand to ignite feelings of confidence, curiosity, empathy, boldness, calm clarity, and a sense of humanity… and I just love how that manifested with her beautiful color palette and final styling.
In preparation for the launch of their Kickstarter campaign, Joan and I collaborated on a beautiful and timeless visual identity for Pottyworks. It was important that the brand was clean and versatile, so that it would easily and effectively translate from product to packaging, to digital marketing.
Lacey wanted to launch her coaching business with her best foot forward and develop a professional visual brand that reflects her creativity, warmth, and personal client experience. Empowered, confident, approachable, with a touch of playfulness... I adore how Lacey’s brand came together!
CHE came to me needing a brand overhaul to help them put their best foot forward as they continue to market themselves, impress referrals, and move toward their big picture business goals. Simply put, their old brand didn’t match the high level of service they provide. It was time for a new visual identity that better communicated their value, expertise, and the trust they build with their clients.
This all got me thinking about the structure of my core branding offerings. Are they appealing to the small businesses with big hearts I love to collaborate with and help grow? Should I offer a smaller package like this to everyone... especially those wonderful, heart-centered business owners who are ready to hire a graphic designer but are worried about financially making it happen?
How can I easily schedule projects into my calendar and ensure I'm not overbooking myself (resulting in working 24/7)? How can I efficiently and professionally on-board clients, ensuring I'm giving my clients the best possible experience and that all bases are covered? How can I change my social media approach?
Before you say, "I need a website redesign!" or give up on updating all together... I have some tips for you. Sometimes, a little decluttering can do the trick! Here are some ways YOU can clean up your website to ensure you're best serving your target audience.
Finding a designer to build this trust with, who you feel comfortable with, who "gets you" and makes working together fun is so important. Many designers have the creativity and technical skills to create beautiful designs, but I believe in a designer-business owner relationship based on more than that. Working together should be a collaboration with a common goal of making your vision come to life in a professional AND authentic way.
Taking time for brand discovery and inspiration gathering helped me focus my ideas as a business owner and choose a direction that was right for AllieMarie Design. This ensured that my new visual identity would align with my business goals and who I am deep down as a brand. I can say with confidence that my new visual identity would not be successful without this first step.
Having a professionally designed website and marketing collateral can make a HUGE difference in the growth of your business. Are you proud of how you're representing yourself and your business? Do you feel confident distributing print materials and sending people to your website?
What makes a brand stand out? What does a well-designed visual identity have that others do not? How do you know if your business has a great visual brand? Sometimes, it's hard to pinpoint why a brand just has "it." But there are some key factors that I find to be true across the board.
When I decided to create my first online course, I knew I wanted to have an awesome lead magnet that would me help build my email list and attract the people who would truly benefit from my program. I knew I could go the route of creating a special worksheet or cheat sheet for them that was related to my course. Or give away a very small snippet what’s actually inside my course to get them interested…
Website copy, then, is any written content on your website with the purpose of (a) turning visitors into customers or (b) turning visitors into clients. It’s conversion-based writing, meaning that it’s crafted in a way to entice visitors to take the intended action.
