When you look at beautiful autumn colors you are looking at stress, but the bigger the fight the trees put up the more energy they put into their defenses at the very end the more brilliant their colors will be. Winter will eventually come. But, scientifically, the brightest, deepest most remarkable colors come from not giving up too easily or quickly. I love this picture for linking to the theme of 'sense of place' as it shows a winding road leading into a dark tunnel that you cannot see where it leads- meaning that, from this image, you cannot get the sense of the place the other side or inside of the tunnel. I think that it would be exploring how images can give the audience a sense of place but how it can also hide or disguise the sense of a place.
