Artist Illustrates His Battle With Depression as a Mystical World of Spirit Animals
Polish artist Dawid Planeta’s series "Mini People in the Jungle" illustrates his battle with depression. A small figure is seen wandering through the fog-filled labyrinth, bravely facing gigantic jungle animals. Their glowing eyes illuminate the darkness, helping him to find his way.
These intriguing shots were taken at the turn of the 20th century in New South Wales, Australia. These women were photographed right after their respective charges were levied on them, their crimes can be found underneath each mug shot.

This image was created for the cover art of 3D Artist magazine issue 61. Tigers are one of my most favorite animals, I almost always get captivated by their magnificence. This was a great opportunity for me to try depicting their grandeur. I used Maya for scene setup, ZBrush for sculpting and Fibermesh, Shave and a Haircut, Mari, Arnold and Photoshop.
