Workshop tip for the @Banggood dowel jig. The included locating pin for spacing out dowels has an 8mm diameter. Bore out the "hanging hole" in your steel rules to 8mm and you can then use the locating pin in them to space out longer distances between the dowels. Used in combination, i.e. the jig, a 12”/300mm rule, and a 24”/600mm rule you can produce a vast array of dowel spacings, all of which are spaced accurately on the opposing timber faces without having to rely on a measuring tape at…

Using a spacer the same size as the kerf of the table saw blade to add a little stability while cutting a box in two, to form a lid/body. I'll post a full blog write up about this little box in the next couple of days.

I want to make a tiny wooden box for another project that I have going on the back burner and I’d like to use box joints for the construction to make it strong and to look a bit fancy. So it’s a pin box joint jig for me!
