here is a bender that I built from a few pieces of metal from lowes. the metal I used was 3/16 thick, the first was a 1&1/2 x 3/16 flat bar 4 ft long, the second was a 1 x 3/16 flat bar and the third was a piece of round stock 3/4 x 36 inches long, I got it from the concrete aisle because its technically a concrete stake but its about 8 or so dollars cheaper from the concrete section. I use the to bend aluminum to build fishing carts, can be used for steel also. All in all it was about 23

What features would you include? I think in my situation I'd want it to be heavy since I don't have any plans to move it around a lot and that will make it easier to use. I'd want some degree of adjustability. Storage for cleaning components maybe although there should be covers or lids to any storage areas. I'd also make the vertical rises modular so I could slide them on and off the base. I do woodworking and am planning on building one in the near future and figured I'd troll for
