These might just be the cutest little creatures I've seen my kids create! We used model magic to create the polar bears after discussing different poses and the parts of the bear. We rolled a sphere for the head, then pinched the snout and ears, we rolled a potato-like shape for the body, 4 "logs" for the legs, and a tiny sphere for the tail. Gathering the recycling one day, our daughter pointed to a bunch of bottle caps that she had lined up in a row and said "look it's a caterpillar"! The imagination of preschoolers is amazing to watch. We laughed and called her creation a "cap-er-pillar" and then got the idea to turn the caps into a craft. This caterpillar craft is simple to do and your kids will enjoy working with a different material. This cute little bug makes a great bug craft or spring craft too.
