To lengthen a skirt, cut off a strip on the bottom, add two or three strips of coordinating color and then sew the original strip back to the bottom.  Love the lengthened dress!

Making a dress longer: cut a strip off the bottom of the dress, add three other strips of fabric to the bottom,, add the original color strip back on. have to do this to a few of my dresses, never thought about doing it like this!
