This was not only a star-making gig for Johnny Depp, but original cast members Peter DeLuise, Holly Robinson Peete and Dustin Nguyen comprised a multicultural team that made being responsible and law-abiding cool.

21 Jump Street was a cop show that debuted in 1987, and immediately found an audience: teenagers, especially girls. That was fair, since the show was about police officers who pretended to be teens. Johnny Depp was the series' breakout star.

Tonight's Film: #21JumpStreet A once nerdy kid and cool jock from high school become friends in the police academy, helping each other out; soon, they are asked to go back to high school and pose as students to infiltrate a drug ring - in doing so, their friendship is tested. B+
