Moschino's creative director seems to have been inspired by no other than Pablo Picasso. This runway show appears to be a dedication to the legendary painter, who's focus and style of painting used color as an expressive element. As did Jeremy Scott in his runway show, there were plenty of colors and patterns in his collection. The FW was a production of bullfighting, toreador costumes, and Stephen Jones brilliant headgear—the hatter gets a standing ovation (from me) for the Cubist bull mask.
Picasso has roots in Barcelona, Pablo Picasso, the famous Spanish artist responsible for introducing Cubism to the world, spent his formative years in Barcelona and studied at its School of Fine Arts. There is a Picasso museum in the Born neighbourhood of Barcelona which has over 4,000 of his works on display
