A personal guided-tour through the best of Ireland, Irish culture, and history.

What is Ireland's Tidy Towns Contest?

No longer a DINKY, not a SAHM, maybe a MWOTHAJTTKIAT (mum working outside the home and just trying to keep it all together). I have three small kids, one tall husband, one office job. Love cake, coffee, wine & shoes. But I'm not shallow I promise. I'm passionate about finding ways to continue working without taking more from my children - working smarter rather than longer, and looking for ways for working mothers to support one another.

Yvonne hails from Antrim, Northern Ireland, and has lived in the desert southwest of the United States for almost thirty years. Married, with a daughter who is navigating her path through the "teen tunnel," and a haughty cat, Atticus, she has spent the better part of the last three decades in the classroom as a student, teacher, and administrator.

Journalist, travel writer, history geek, culture vulture and party goer. I love finding those perfect places scattered around the globe where you can sit, ponder life and be enlightened. Otherwise, I put on a pretty pair of shoes and go meet interesting people!

Seeking adventure in daily life, travel, lifestyle, pregnancy and bringing up baby.

I love my kids, makeup, organisation, coffee, chocolate, holidays, positive attitudes and a whole lot more. I hope to blog about it all

How do you run from a monster? Will I be able to get to the cinema early enough to get a good seat for Harry Potter? What’s the deal with Feminism? What’s the best way to spend a Sunday afternoon? Which is better – history or mystery? In a few snatched spare moments, I will be attempting to answer these questions over the next few blog posts. The Meaning of Life will have to wait until I figure out how to rearrange the theme…. Welcome to my world!

Girl with a camera, a blog, internet access and a story to tell.

It’s funny how one brand new sparkly moment triggers a domino effect of memories.

I’m a 21 year old who has just completed a degree in Irish and Journalism from Dublin City University and formerly Stanford University (module-only) with a keen interest in social media, current affairs and I’ve fluent Irish. I also love to travel and read. I’ll be the first to admit that I have a great love for Twitter, and YouTube, as well as audio-editing, Social Media Marketing and PR.

I'm a 4th Year Creative Multimedia student in LIT Tipperary. When not studying or working (I'm a typist and a part-time radio presenter), I like to avoid doing housework by travelling to nice places, drinking coffee, and taking photos. My husband is a saint!
