Hanging Plant Pot
A simple, beautifully made plant pot, thrown on the potter’s wheel in terracotta clay and glazed in a creamy slip. This hanging pot is part of a series specially commissioned for our Áras homewares range, and made by hand in Belfast by Helen Faulkner. Each pot is individually finished with Helen’s hand scribed linear pattern which adds texture and character, glazed on the inside and stamped with Helen's makers mark. The sisal twine compliments the earthy tones and is strong enough to support…
Stoneware Plate
A large flat dinner plate, perfect for your daily meal, or to use as a serving plate. This larger plate also pairs wonderfully with Luke's smaller side plate. Hand turned with precision and care by Luke O’Callaghan in his studio in his backyard. The stoneware clay is decorated on the rim with a tinted slip clay and finished with a transparent glaze on the inside and rim while the outside lip and base are left unglazed to showcase the beauty of the raw clay. Sheepskin Rug
Sourced from sheep in the west of Ireland, these sheepskin rugs are ideal for the floor, or thrown over a chair. The therapeutic properties of the natural sheepskin are plentiful; the natural hollow fibers act allows the rug to control body temperatures without overheating, making it perfect for pain relief and warmth. The sheepskins are also naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial, as the lanolin in the wool has a self-cleaning quality which prevents bacterial growth. Our sheepskins have…
Stoneware Mug
This mug is handmade with beautiful proportions. Like all of Luke’s work, it is finished with care and precision. The stoneware clay is hand-thrown and smoothed before fully dry, decorated with a tinted slip clay on the rim, and then finished with a transparent glaze on the inside and rim. The flat formed sturdy handle compliments the shape perfectly. With the exterior left unglazed, giving it a wonderfully tactile quality that is a joy to hold. If you prefer to use an espresso cup, Luke has…
Salt or Pepper Grinder
Hand-turned in native Irish Beech, these mills can be used for salt or pepper, they will even grind coffee beans, spices and dried herbs. The grinders measure 6", 8" or 10" tall and are made from one piece of kiln-dried native Irish hardwoods, so the grain of the timber runs from the top into the bottom when lined up. The wood used often shows signs of "Spalting" which is a consequence of the decay process and is very beautiful, but as each piece is unique the grain will differ in each…

Large honeypot
Woven into the shape of a honey pot, this basket looks great next to the fire for storing peat or next to the sofa to keep your favourite blanket close to hand on those chilly winter nights. Colour variations will occur as all of the willow naturally grows in different shades of browns and greens, Diane selects and matches the colours together in her own designs. Diane came up with this design after seeing some sculpture work by a Danish designer who was using a particular spiral pattern…
