This week my students will be reading a Frog and Toad story by Arnold Lobel. These characters are well loved by young readers and the story Days with Frog and Toad provide a great opportunity to practice the skills of compare and contrast. I like to use this story as a launching opportunity to read and write about factual information about frogs and toads. I continue the skill of comparing and contrasting by having students analyze a table of data that I created about frogs and toads.
