After falling in love with the lyrics on Live's breakthrough album Throwing Copper, I excitedly picked up Mental Jewelry at the Warehouse records on Beach and Warner. I was not disapointed. While Ed Kowalczyk writing feels less evolved, which is to be expected as the kid was only 19 when it was recorded, the ferocity, confidence, conviction, and intesity contained in each song had me hooked.
