A small antique Provençal bag from the early 1900s made from Turkish Kutnu silk from east Anatolia. Silk production in Gaziantep was brought to Turkey in the 1600s from Aleppo in Syria and there used to be many small workshops producing fine silk. Today there is only one workshop remaining.
