Lucy Henderson, formerly Lucy Brander, daughter of free man Griffin Brander and his wife Catherine Brander. Griffin bought his wife and two daughters Lucy and Mary out of slavery in 1851. He then brought his family to St. Louis. Many of his descendants continue to live there to this day from the children of Lucy. Mary did not have children.
