In counseling children, we have found feeling balloons very useful. We found the 20" balloons the best as they deflate slowly and can be reused for multiple days in a row. Red for angry feelings, blue for sad and yellow for happy. 1.Have the child pick which balloon represents how they feel. 2.Pass the sad balloon around and ask the child when they feel sad. Repeat with other balloons. 3.Describe an event - and ask the child to select the balloon that would describe feeling.
