Mademoiselle Blanche Monnier - the girl who who was locked in a dungeon for 25 years - Altered Dimensions Paranormal
The horrifying picture is not a still shot from a horror movie but rather is a hospital-room shot of Blanche Monnier, a girl who was kept captive for 24 yrs in a padlocked shuttered room where she was forced to live amidst pests, rats, human excrement & filth. Her discovery occurred on May 23, 1901 after the Paris Attorney General received an anonymous letter indicating a woman was being held captive in a home located on 21 rue de la Visitation street in wealthy neighborhood of Poiters, France.
"I saw myself in the mirror; my whole face spattered with blood and hair… I wiped it off with Kleenex… I thought, no one really wants me there. Then one second later I thought, why did I wash the blood off? I should have left it there, let them see what they’ve done…" -- Jackie Kennedy, The “Camelot” Interview with T.H. White, excerpts published in Life magazine. November 29, 1963.
