Peterborough City Hospital is the new acute general district hospital serving the city of Peterborough and north Cambridgeshire. The 612-bed, four-storey hospital on the site of the former Edith Cavell Hospital replaces both Peterborough District Hospital and the Edith Cavell Hospital. In 2002 Stamford and Rutland Hospital in Lincolnshire joined the trust. Today, Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country's top performing NHS acute trust.
