Terribly dated and often just a little too silly and far fetched, Robin Hardy's 1973 film can still be regarded as both, arguably the finest British horror film ever made and a genuine landmark film for the genre overall, for one very simple reason. One you are looking at right now upon this classic poster. The last few minutes of this film are still every bit as chilling as they probably were to audiences back in '73.
