I love tissue paper art, because it's so easy, and the kids love it! Make a construction paper acorn and have the kids decorate the top!

Melted Crayon Acorn: Preschool children would love to make this acorn. The melted crayon would fascinate them. Making decisions like what colors to use and what technique to use to crinkle the tissue would be so DAP.

Acorn covered with oats and chocolate cereal

Did this project with my two year olds in the Fall. We're not allowed to use food on for art projects at my school though, so we ended up using leaves, sticks, acorns and sand from outside instead. The kids had a great time doing them and they actually looked very cute when we were done.
