Mama Crovatt's House

Mama Crovatt's home is typical of the American Folk style found all across frontier America. It proudly wears a jacket of vertical board and batten siding. Rurally, these boards would have been hand sawn. After the colonies were settled, water powered milled boards could be transported making this cladding method even more common.
