LOT 83 WHITE COTTON MUSLIN DRESS with EMBROIDERED SPRIGS, c. 1800 - whitakerauction

Tambour-embroidered with polychrome pansies and tiny sprigs, fall-open bodice having short sleeve with four narrow tucks, a wider tuck down the center front crosses another tuck above the ruffled hem, center back having ties around to front, shoulder backing stamped with large "RD" and numbers visible through muslin. DLM tag. B-34, L-56. (Scattered period mends and small holes, snaps added to fall front, holes in undersleeve, upper back skirt has two repairs) very good. 2280
