God doesn't want us to be heartbroken. That's never His plan. His plan is for you to listen to Him the first time around, so you don't get hurt. A heartbreak is the result of going your own way, instead of His. He didn't give it to you, because were it up to Him, you would have done it right the first time. He may have saved you from the wrong one, but He certainly doesn't want you in pain.
There are things that happen in this life that we just won't understand or have an answer for. You may have heard people say, "When I get to heaven, I'm going to ask God, 'Why?'" But the truth is, when we see Him face to face, we will be fully satisfied. To be satisfied means to be convinced, to put an end to doubt and uncertainty. There won't be any questions. We will see Him face to face in all His glory, goodness, love, righteousness, and power... // by andrearhowey, via Flickr
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
