Replacing an earlier scanned slide with a better version 18-Jan-15. This aircraft was delivered to the USAAF (United States Army Air Force) serialled 44-15166 in 1944, it was sold to DDL Det Danske Luftfartselskab (Danish Air Lines, one of the forerunners of SAS) as OY-AUB in Nov-46. It was sold to Aer Lingus as EI-AFA in Nov-48 and stayed with them until it was sold to Nepal Airlines as 9N-AAL in Oct-63. Fate unknown.

Replacing an earlier scanned slide with a better version 01-Mar-15. What a difference in 50 years. With those two beech trees in the background this was always recognisable as Manchester. Now (Mar-19), that view is all concrete and buildings. Terminal 1, Pier C would be in the way with Terminal 2 behind it and the Cargo Centre on the left. Delivered new to Aer Lingus in Jun-65. It was leased to LANICA Nicaragua as AN-BBS in Oct-66, returning to Aer Lingus as EI-ANF in Apr-67. It…
