These are interpretations of some classic Art masterpieces, where my Border Collie Bella is the model. I used famous works of art and then made collages using Bella's photos and illustration. All collages and graphic manipulations are made by me.

Quick portrait of Bella, as a little canine Mad Hatter! Dog Art, Vintage Lace, At Least, Take That, Butterfly, Puppies, Portrait, Mad, Gallery

Being at the end of my Illustrator course, I have decided to take a break and make another of my Bella's collages, really quick and simple, at least compared to some of the others. Here she is portrayed as a Mad Hatter, surrounded by butterflies and vintage lace trims. Enjoy!

Rory the Terrier is portrayed here as Thomas Dogsborough "The Blue Pup", "The Blue Boy", er, something blue! The Blue Boy, Thomas Gainsborough, Famous Portraits, Something Blue, Dog Art, Border Collie, Terrier, Romantic, Wallpaper

A famous portrait by Thomas Dogsborough, "The Blue Pup" features the famous Rory the Terrier, a fashionista dog from the XVIIIth century, surrounded by ceramic tiles as a frame and a romantic floral wallpaper blended in the background sky. Well... In reality, Rory is indeed a cute fashionista dog that lives in the US right now, and I have decided to portray him as Thomas Gainsborough's "Blue Boy", from 1777. He is a fluffy, happy terrier, and a bit of a poser too!

Andrea Leite Marques - Shapata The Raccoon Christmas Canvas, Raccoons, Dog Art, Border Collie, My Friend, Nativity, Goats, Native American, This Is Us

Shapata is an adorable raccoon living in the back garden of my friend Phyllis, in the US. Her name comes from the Native American name for "to grasp" or "to grab". Phyllis feeds her and loves her to death, although she is a wild animal - and does not come into the house. I have decided to portray beautiful Shapata, since I was so touched with her story and adorable eyes. Enjoy!

Based on Arthur Hacker "Annunciation", I made this collage portraying Bella as the Lady and myself as an angel, floating over her. Klimt, Digital Collage, Dog Art, Art Gallery, Angel, Illustration, Artist, Dogs, Painting

"Annunciation" portrays Bella Lenahan as the Virgin and myself as the Angel. This is a painting by Arthur Barker in Bella's imaginary world. In reality, it was based on Arthur Hacker's painting of the same name. I have used some stained glass effect in the frame. Enjoy!

Based on Eduard Bendeman, "Two Girls at the Well", here is another collage featuring Bella Lenahan, the border collie. Dog Art, Gallery, Behance, Illustration, Artist, Dogs, Purple Dress, Painting, Conversation

Bella has another painting to introduce us tonight! By Eduard Borderdog, "Maman et Moi". It portrays her ancestor (yes, another one) Ms. Bebette and her human Mother Mrs. Lenahan deep in conversation. Ms. Bebette has her purple Kong at her feet, so it coordinates with her beautiful purple dress. Her Mother seems to be explained to her something very important, making sure that her little girl does not forget everything later on. (Collage based on Eduard Bendeman "Two Girls at the Well").

Bella strikes again! Stars and dreams are all over the place! Read on for all the details. Famous Words, Summer Nights, Designer Wallpaper, Dog Art, Moonlight, Disney Characters, Fictional Characters, Dreams, William Morris

Bella is back with another masterpiece from her collection: "Starlight Eyes", by Harold Pet features a beautiful and dreamy girl gazing at the stars, in a clear Summer night. A soft breeze blows her thin lacy dress and beautiful soft tail. Her eyes mirror the stars all around her. This collage I made using a file of am original Harold Brett oil, "Summer Moonlight", some flower photographs I took some years ago in Bilbao and a beautiful William Morris wall paper design, all blended up.

Bella and her Art collection once again! "The Soul of The Rose" is a painting by the famous Pre-Raphaelite John William Doghouse! Read below for more details. Christina Rossetti, Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood, Edward Burne Jones, John William Waterhouse, Tiffany Stained Glass, Famous Models, Dog Houses, Dog Art, Pet Portraits

Here is another Pre-Raphaelite gem from Bella's collection: "The Soul of the Rose", where one of her ancestors (she comes from a lineage of famous models, it seems) is portrayed with a silk caftan and beautiful ruby earrings inhaling the soft perfume of wild roses. This oil was painted by the famous John William Doghouse, in 1903. (After the real John William Waterhouse, "The Soul of the Rose", dated 1903. I also used some Tiffany's stained glass for the frame).
