The Hook Lighthouse is located at the tip of the Hook Peninsula in County Wexford. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in the world, and the oldest operating lighthouse in Ireland. The current structure has stood for almost 800 years.

This was the original port of Wexford in the 10th Century when Vikings came here. It is now available only to very small boats as the railway runs on trestles across the mouth of the crescent.
