Joe Hogan's interest in the indigenous baskets of Ireland led him eventually to devote much of his time making non-functional or sculptural baskets. This book, published in conjunction with the exhibition Bare Branches Blue Black Sky, Baskets by Joe Hogan, shows a wide range of these artistic baskets as well as giving some insight into the making process, the materials used and the motivation underlying the work.
