Jammet's French restaurant was considered the best eatery in the country in its heyday. Entered at 46 Nassau St, it extended to a back entrance in Adam Court, Grafton St. The expression 'to be jammy' is said to come from this spot (now Porterhouse) Dublin Street, Dublin City, Old Pictures, Old Photos, Sheffield Pubs, Restaurants In Dublin, Grafton Street, Ireland Homes, Dublin Ireland

Jammet's Restaurant, accessed via 1-2 Adam's Court, Grafton Street and 46 Nassau Street, was the finest restaurant in Ireland from 1901-1967. Established by two French brothers Michel and Francoise Jammet and subsequently run by Michel’s son Louis it was a bastion of superb French food and wine in the general austerity of the time.
